We organize rides throughout the year, mainly at weekends, or on weekdays in the evening. The rides start at various times agreed in advance. During the summer days, we can enjoy a ride out at dawn or a late ride returning by twilight.
The undulating region we are traveling through is an hour’s drive from Brussels. It is a many faceted land: le Condroz namurois.
«Happiness is far from tar». We mainly take dirt tracks and country paths (between 80 and 90%).
Safety is first : the horses are not numerous (maximum 3 !), so know each other very well and we generally gallop at a moderate speed. The ability of riders is evaluated beforehand. The endurance/riding saddles enable one to cover the miles comfortably and swiftly. The ride leader speaks English.
Galops Nature offers you the chance to ride in a very small group: 2 or 3 riders only !
We propose the following options:
Before starting the ride, you are asked to give a help and «prepare» the horses, so that you get to know them. The rides' duration, as indicated in this table, does not include the time necessary for getting the horses ready to go (30 to 45 minutes).
If you are interested to take part in a long riding tour in the South of France with horses from the same "family" as ours, we can advise you an excellent address.
Belgian climate is unstable...it is very difficult to forecast with accuracy the weather we'll have the day after in a specific region, such as Condroz for example.
We finally gave up trusting the weather reports. Fortunately, statistics show that it only rains 6% of the time in Belgium ... on average, we have so far been soaked only 3 times a year...in such cases, as the (Norwegian) saying goes, "there is no such thing as bad weather - just bad clothing" !
